John F. “Jack” Aukerman, age 87, of Eaton, OH passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born November 3, 1937 in Eaton to the late Charles and Bertha (Hartman) Aukerman. After high school, Jack attended John Deere Mechanics School and worked for Barber & Conley. He served in the National Guard during the early 1960’s. He earned his private pilot's license in the mid 1960’s. Jack and Wanda started J.F. Aukerman Steel Rule Die in 1974. Jack was a lifelong enthusiast of flying, hunting, fishing and competitive trapshooting. He is survived by his wife Wanda Aukerman of Eaton, whom he married on January 6, 1957; son John (Lisa) Aukerman Jr of Eaton; daughter Carol (Mark) Roper of Indianapolis; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Sue Combs of New Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
