John C. Roberts

John C. Roberts, age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. He was born December 13, 1930 in West Alexandria, OH to the late Henry and Ethel M. (Daily) Robert. John was a retiree from the Parker-Hannifin Corp. in Eaton and prior to that retired from NCR in Dayton. He was a member of the Eaton First Church of God, where he worked in the medical ministry for many years. He was avid woodworker, enjoyed fishing and camping. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife Eileen Roberts in 1975 and his second wife Shirley Roberts in 2007. He is survived by his son Michael (Barbara) Roberts of Somerville, OH; daughter Sandra Weatherly of Richmond, IN; son Douglas (Trudy) Roberts of Zoe, KY; son Russell (Wanda) Roberts of Eaton, OH; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Eaton First Church of God, 601 East Lexington Road, Eaton, OH with Pastor Jonathon Grubbs officiating. Burial follow at Twin Valley Cemetery, Gratis, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
