Karen Ann Billhimer

April 8, 1944 — March 18, 2022

Karen Ann Billhimer, 77, passed away on Friday, March 18th 2022.  She was the daughter of the late William and Ruby Kuhns.  She is survived by her son, Jeff (Kate) Billhimer, her daughter Vicki Billhimer, and her grandson Harley Billhimer.

Karen was born on April 8, 1944 in New Carlisle, Ohio.  Karen started working in 1960 at GC Murphys in Troy.  Later she worked at Krogers in Vandalia, the Orr Felt in Piqua, and later in life, 1980, she worked at the Little Country School House outside of West Milton.  In 1984 she became the assistant manager at the West Milton American Legion for several years.  She moved to Tipp City and tended the American Legion there from 1988 to 2005. Karen then went to Circuits and Cables in Vandalia where she did electronics assembly for 4 years.

Karen enjoyed her doggies, Fritzy, Corky and Ozzy.  She loved to work outside in the garden, in the yard, and enjoyed pulling weeds.  She had several motorcycles in her life and enjoyed riding them until later in her life.

Karen fought brain cancer fiercely for the last 18 months of her life.  Although the cancer overcame her flesh, Karen's faith in her Lord ultimately won the battle. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
