Kelsey E. Helmer, age 76, of West Alexandria, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 27, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, and received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Dayton in 1962. He earned his certified public accountant license in 1970 and had a very successful career in public accounting that spanned over 40 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Jametta Helmer, and his infant sister, Nancy JoAnn. Kelsey is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jane, and his daughters, Lee Anne Craft (Jerry), Carol O’Hare (Timothy) and Karen Dzendzel (Douglas); granddaughters Alison and Dana Craft; and sisters Sandra Weidner and Barbara Martin. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Thursday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio.
