Larry R. Turner

Larry R. Turner, age 70, of Eaton, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center.  He was born April 26, 1953 in Indiana to the late Randall and Nora (Johnson) Turner.  Larry was a graduate of Edgewood High School in Trenton, OH.  He was a longtime farmer who worked for Phil Kuhn on Elleman Farms, also worked for Harris Products in Mason, OH and later worked at Nutrients Agriculture in Campbellstown.  Larry was a member of the Eaton Community Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Valerie Gay Turner Callhoun; nephew Daniel Lee Spencer; and great niece Logan Danielle Snyder.  He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joy (Pelling) Turner of Eaton; son Jeremy Turner of Eaton; sister Doris (Jack) Lowe of Logansport, IN; sister Georgiann (Jim) Spencer of Eaton; sister Brenda (Randall) Bowling of Somerset, KY; brother Dennis (Judy) Turner of Douglasville, GA; brother-in-law Randy Callhoun of Somerset, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.  Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of donor’s choice.   Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
