Leon E. Brewer

Leon E. Brewer, age 84, of West Manchester, OH passed away Monday, September 01, 2014 at the Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. He was born April 1, 1930 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Clarence and Georgia Brewer. Leon was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War; he was a member of the Minerva Masonic Lodge in Miamisburg and was an honorary member of both Eaton and Camden Masonic Lodges; he was a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Farmersville, OH; and was a MDA volunteer for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann Brewer, who passed away August 16, 2009; and brothers Chester and Bobby Brewer. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Lela (Brewer) and Chris Cornelius of Brookville, OH; grandchildren Allison, Isabella and Sophia Cornelius; brothers James C. Brewer of Miamisburg, OH and Charles (Beverly) Brewer of Kahlua, HI; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 4:00 pm until time of masonic and funeral services at 7:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Burial will be private at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, OH.
