Linville Gray

Linville Gray, 90, of Eaton, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born May 23, 1934 in London, Kentucky to the late Bryan and Sarah (Johnson) Gray. He retired from Dayton Flex/Baxter in 1996 where he worked as a plant controller for 27 years. He was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church where he served faithfully for 60 years in several offices such as a deacon, choir member, treasurer, and Sunday School teacher. He loved to use his handyman skills to improve the church building. He also enjoyed golf and watching the Kentucky Wildcats. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Randall L. Gray, his wife, Mildred Venice (Cheek) Gray, and his sisters-in-law, Verlois Gray and Tommie Lynn Gray. He is survived by his daughters Denise Ann Smith (David) of Sharonville, Ohio, Nancy Marie Lowery (Mike) of Louisville, Kentucky, and Barbara Ann Gray of Eaton, Ohio; his grandchildren, Phillip Lowery (Laura) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Adam Smith (Kristina) Mountain View, North Carolina, Mindy Jones (Nick) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, and Aaron Smith (Loren) of Watertown, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Kassidy and Emma Smith, Gracelyn Jones, Jordan and Cooper Lowery, Theodore Smith, and one more on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Floyd Gray, Dorothy Fields (Carl), and Lowell Gray, all of London, Kentucky as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 3:00 pm until time of funeral service at 6:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 2:00 pm until time of a short service at 3:00 pm at the London Funeral Home, 879 S. Main Street, London, KY. Burial will follow at Rough Creek Cemetery, Rose Jones Lane in London, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Gideons for the purchase of Bibles.
