Lorene M. Halsey

Lorene M. Halsey, age 95, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at her residence.  She was born May 14, 1928 in Toledo, OH to the late Albert and Mabel Goedert.  Lorene graduated from Euclid School of Practical Nursing.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ingomar; enjoyed trail walking and birdwatching; and volunteered at the West Alexandria Food Bank.  She dearly loved her family.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George W. Halsey; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and John Ludwig; sister Doris Burkett; and brothers Kenny Goedert and Donald Goedert.  She is survived by her son Robert (Kathy) Halsey; daughter Becky Wilder; 6 grandchildren: Janette (Scott) Hittle, Erin Sunshine, Megan (Dan) Roth, Tara (Jeff) Lay, Sonja Halsey and Charlotte (Patrick) Clunis; 9 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren: and numerous nieces.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 3:00 pm until time of memorial service at 4:30 pm at the St. John Lutheran Church Ingomar, 2139 Enterprise Road, West Alexandria, OH.  A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria.
