Loretta (Reeder) Garber, age 76, of West Manchester, OH, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 24, 2012 after having health issues for several years. She was born December 31, 1935 in Eldorado, OH to the late Simeon and Mary (Lunsford) Reeder. Loretta remained a Preble County resident all of her life. She was formerly employed at the Frigidaire Company from 1960 to 1970. She loved to line dance, quilt and follow horseshoe pitching with her world champion husband, Robert Garber, Jr. She was a talented upholster, collector, singer and organist/piano player where she played for many years at the United Methodist Church, West Manchester, OH. She loved her church and gospel gatherings, enjoyed traveling and all her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Garber, Jr. who passed away April 1, 2009. She is survived by her daughters Gwen Garber of Des Moines, IA and Carol Ann (J.D.) Neeley of Celina, OH; grandson Anthony (Jen) Lewis of Dayton, OH; granddaughter Vanessa (fiancé Scott) Lewis of Coldwater, OH; one great granddaughter Kaia Behm; brothers Rey (Jane) Reeder of West Manchester, OH and Tim (Diana) Reeder of Greenville, OH; aunt Linda (Joe) MacDonald of New Mexico; sisters-in-law Donna Jean (Roy) Koontz of Eldorado, OH and Mary Jane (Raymond) Rothwell of Eaton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 9:30 am until the time of memorial services at 11:00 am at the Eldorado United Methodist Church, 341 Main Street, Eldorado, OH with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at the Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester, OH. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
