Margaret Eloise Blankenship

BLANKENSHIP, Margaret E., age 89, of West Alexandria, OH. died Tues. April 22, 2014 in Dayton.  She was born in Monroe Township, OH. on Feb. 7, 1925 to Stanley and  Marie (Goldsmith) Ott.  She was a graduate of Monroe High School.  Mrs. Blankenship was a homemaker, farmer, and cook for West Alexandria and Twin Valley South High School for 28 years.  She was a member of the West Alex Senior Citizens and a member of West Alexandria Church of the Brethren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Blankenship in 1973 and son, Edgar Blankenship in 1968.  She is survived by her son, Dale (Lindy) Blankenship, Sardinia, OH., daughter, Janet (Merle) Phelps, Lewisburg, OH., 4 grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Dwyer, Ryan Phelps (Victoria Bohrer), Austin and Blake Trueblood, nieces and nephews.  Also deceased were her parents, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hubert and Donna Ott.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Fri. April 25, 2014 at West Alexandria Church of the Brethren, 22 E. Oak St. with Pastor Brody Rike officiating.  Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, OH.  Friends may call at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, OH. Thurs. from 6-8PM.
