Margaret M. Smith

Margaret M. Smith, age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away Thursday, November 01, 2018 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton under Hospice of Dayton Care. She was born November 06, 1932 in Montgomery County, OH to the late Courtney J. and Berenice (Hawley) Mckee. Margaret was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Eaton, OH; she worked her entire career as a legal secretary working several years for Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling Law Firm in Dayton, Ohio and in the 1980’s started working in Eaton for Charles H. Hubler, Bill Dues, Jim Frantz, and William Mawer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kayla D. and Tim Moore of Eaton; son and daughter-in-law Kyle L. and Melissa Smith of Eaton; grandchildren Brittany and Katie Smith and Courtney Mobley and Clarice Marsh all of Eaton; sisters and brother-in-laws Glen and Norma Behnken of Brookville, OH and Kermit and Barb Heck; numerous nieces and nephews; and devoted friend Monte Gardner of Lewisburg. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by friend Harry Leahy. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00 am until time of memorial service at 11:00 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH with the Pastor Brandon Peterson officiating.
