Marjorie Leslie

LESLIE, Marjorie J., age 91 of Niceville, FL. passed away on Dec. 6, 2017.  She was born on Mar. 28, 1926 in Preble County, OH. to Leroy and Alta (Gilbert) Eson.  She resided in West Alexandria and Eaton, OH. for 71 years before moving to Niceville, FL. in 1997 to live near her daughter and family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar Eugene (Gene) Leslie and son, Thomas Eugene Leslie.  Mrs. Leslie is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Leslie Keithley and 3 grandchildren, Kimberly (Chris) Hicks, Darren (Amy) Keithley and Kyle (Marie) Keithley, 4 great grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlan, Wil and Jackson, plus 5 nieces and nephews.  Friends knew and loved her for her beautiful smile, witty personality and the kindness she exhibited to everyone.  She attended school in Eaton, OH.  During WWII she worked in a factory in Dayton and she also worked in retail and at Baxter Mfg.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Coterie Club.  In Florida, she was a member of several senior clubs, Playground New Neighbors and H2U.  She enjoyed playing bridge and taking trips with friends and family.  A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Niceville, FL. on Feb. 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  A graveside burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.on July 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Niceville, FL. or a foundation of your choice.
