Martha Elizabeth Taylor of Union City, Indiana and lifelong resident of Eaton, Ohio and Preble County, passed peacefully in her sleep on January 7th, 2022 at the residence of her family in Union City, Indiana just short of her 101st Birthday.
Martha was born February 9th, 1921 in Farmersville, Ohio to Vern and Margaret (Maggie) Stanton on her family's farm. Martha married her lifelong love James (Jim) Taylor upon his return from service in WWII on April, 20th, 1946. Settling in Eaton, OH and building a life together Martha retired from the Singer Sewing Machine Company as a book-keeper in 1978 and enjoyed a life of traveling with Jim and her sister Francis and brother-in-law Clarence, attending Church as well as attending ball-games, family moments` and life's many endeavors with her great nephew Michael and great great-nieces Michaela, Peyton and Malea and their mother Dusty to all whom she adored and was committed to through the years. Martha moved for her final years to Union City, IN to be closer to the family she loved in 2002. Martha simply enjoyed all life had to offer, especially with her church and her family.To say she loved her family, it’s history, and her church can never be stated enough.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her brothers Irvin (Ruth) Stanton and Clarence (Hazel) Stanton and her loving and dear sister Francis Foster (Clarence) to whom she was rarely apart from in life. Also preceding her was her special nephew’s Gene Foster (Marilyn), William (Bill) Dean (Cheryl), Pete Roudebush (Martha June) and David Foster (Joyce).
She leaves behind two very special nieces she so adored, Martha June Roudebush of Franklin, Indiana (formerly of Eaton, OH) and Cheryl Dean of Scottsburg, Indiana (formerly of Richmond, IN), Her great-nephews Michael Dean, Cameron Dean, Mark Foster(Jess) and Darryl Roudebush (Jackie). Also great-nieces Carol Roudebush-Morris (Chris), Lori Foster and Pamela Foster and her special and dear great-great nieces Michaela Dean, Peyton Dean-Byrd (Clayton), Malea Dean, their mother Dusty Dean and Courtney Lang (Eddie) as well as her great-great-great nieces and nephews Aubrey, Ellie, Killian and Kingston Lang as well as special friends and family to her Jennifer Hatton and Mary Brumbaugh. To her church family there are so many she loved and enjoyed in life by her side.
The family would like to give special thanks to Everhart Hospice of Greenville for the care, love and respect they so provided Martha and her family.
