Mary Alice Morton

Mary Alice Morton, age 95, of Eaton, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton. She was born June 6, 1922 in Richmond to the late Oscar L. and Estella (Koehring) Durkel. She was a 1940 graduate of Richmond High School and 1944 graduate of Miami University; was a retired school teacher from Preble Shawnee Schools; and was a member of Sugar Valley United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Arthur H. “Ki” Morton; daughter Sylvia E. Morton; grandson Brian Pentecost; and brother Carl Durkel. She is survived by her sons Gary L. (Karen) Morton of Miamisburg and Mark K. (Penny) Morton of Camden; grandsons Gary C. (Cari) Morton of Farmersville, Kyle Morton of Eaton and Clay (Brigitte) Morton of Cincinnati; granddaughter Joyce (Jerry) Green of Germantown; and great grandchildren, Grant Morton, Bryant N. Morton, Andrew Morton, Craig Buchanan, Jordan Green, Kendall Green, Natalie Buchanan, Bryant L. Morton, Brody Morton, Braylon Morton and Kai Morton. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 12:00 noon at the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church, 3022 Camden Sugar Valley Road, Eaton, OH with Pastor Gerald Sadai officiating.
