Mary M. Rutan

Mary Wright Rutan, age 95, of Eaton, OH passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born April 25, 1916 in Farmersville, OH to the late Ben and May (Izor) Wright. Mary was a 1934 graduate of Farmersville High School. She lived on the family farm with her husband Russell in Jackson Township (Preble County) for most of her married life. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She made a difference in the lives of her family and her community. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Russell Rutan, who passed away in 1999; and brother Robert Wright. She is survived by her children Jean (George) Simpson of Eaton, OH, Amie Sue (Dale) Felty of Richmond, IN and Ron Rutan of Eaton, OH; grandchildren Larry (Christina) Felty, Diana (Kevin) King and Kelly Felty, all of Richmond, IN; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and her extended Carlisle family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Campbellstown United Church of Christ, 2890 West Florence-Campbellstown Road, Eaton, OH with Pastors Randall Harvey and Jim Sizelove officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.
