Mary Vivia Michael

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Vivia Michael on Saturday, October 5, 2024. She passed away in her home which was one of her last wishes. Mary, formerly from Camden, Ohio, currently made her home in Eaton, Ohio where she departed this life for her heavenly home. She was born on October 15, 1936 in Mount Sterling, KY, to Howard & Ruie Triplett. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Steve Michael, brother and sister-in-law Paul and Millie Eaton, brother Carl Eaton, step-son, Steve Michael, Jr. and her nephew, Duane Eaton. Survived by sons, Stephen (Peggy) Kelso, Suwanee , GA and Ronald (Manuela) Michael, Greenbay, WI, step-daughter, Karen Busteed, step-son Bruce (Lydia) Michael, and step-daughter-in-law Brenda Michael, grandson, Tony Michael, nephews Darren and Doug (Sarah) Eaton and her special “adopted” kids, Rick and Salli Corrington and their sons, Mark & Matt.  Mary was a unique lady, very competitive in bowling, and playing cards. She also loved reading, good food, traveling, her Y friends, antiques, dancing, scratch offs and those casino trips. She enjoyed her family and many friends and was always ready to lend an ear whenever needed. She will be remembered for her ability to “gab” and willingness to help others. We will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH.
