Matthew S. Marion

Matthew S. Marion, age 40, of Eaton, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2015. He was born September 19, 1974 in Dayton, OH to Donald and Cathy Marion. Matt was an Auxiliary Preble County Sheriff Deputy; was a former police officer for the village of West Alexandria; was a member of the F.O.P of Preble County; and was a member of the Preble County Ducks Unlimited Chapter. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Floyd and Mary Marion, Sr., maternal grandfather James House; and maternal step-grandfather James ORoark. He is survived by his wife Rachel Marion of Eaton, OH; sons Austin, Nicholas and Ryan all of Eaton, OH; parents Donald and Cathy Marion of Eaton, OH; grandmother Elizabeth ORoark of Kettering, OH; brother Jason Marion of Greenville, OH; sister Mileah (fiancé Jeff Miller) Marion of Eaton, OH; mother-in-law and father-in-law Bud and Sherry Crooks of Eaton, OH; brother-in-law John (Tonya) Allen of New Paris, OH; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Fred Hill and Pastor Ken Harbaum officiating.
