Megan Elizabeth Matlock

Megan Elizabeth Matlock, age 30, of Dayton, OH passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH. She was born June 3, 1994 in Dayton, OH. Megan was a 2012 graduate of Hamilton High School; enjoyed all kinds of music, dancing and singing; loved drawing; was always happy to see family and friends, always had a smile, and didn’t know a stranger; and enjoyed going to the beach. She also enjoyed her weekly trips to Rachel and Friends (Adult Day Hab). She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother Nancy J. Spence, paternal great grandparents Howard and Glenna Matlock; and maternal great grandmother Dottie Allison. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Bethany and Joe Sowder; father and stepmother Michael and Monica Matlock; brother Mason Matlock; step siblings Laynie Matlock, Kayna (Allen) Reid, Matthew Sowder, Hunter Sowder and Faith Sowder; maternal grandmother Julie Ditmer; paternal grandfather Howard (Darlene) Matlock, Sr.; maternal grandfather Tom (Tena) Ditmer; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and special dog Moku. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:30 at Fort Saint Clair Park in Eaton, OH. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
