Melda Evelyn "Cricket" Gaskill

Melda Evelyn “Cricket” Hamilton Gaskill, age 94, passed into Heaven on April 28, 2022 in Winter Haven, FL after a short illness.  She was born in Grayson, KY to the late Albert and Daught (Stamper) Hamilton.  She was formerly of Eaton, OH until 1979 when they moved to Lake Placid, FL.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.  She was a former member of Lake Placid Memorial United Methodist Church and attended Beymer United Methodist Church in Winter Haven, FL.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Murvin “Mike” Gaskill; sister Hazel (Ken) Mobley; brothers Bud Hamilton of Michigan and Burnice Hamilton of Illinois; and son-in-law Jim Donohoo.  She is survived by her daughter Donna Sue Donohoo of Eaton; son Jeff (DeeAnn) Gaskill of Lake Butler, FL; grandson Deron Jay (Susan) Donohoo of Sumter, SC; brothers Paul (Carol) Hamilton of Eaton and Carl (Shirley) Hamilton of Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Private graveside services will be held in Lake Placid, FL at the discretion of the Family.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
