ULRICH, Melissa Ann, age 33 of Farmersville, Ohio died Monday, July 25, 2011 in Dayton after a courageous fight with lung cancer after 17 months. She was born Mar. 28, 1978 in Newark, OH. to James and Rita (Ogle) Dickson. She was a 1996 graduate of Utica High School and attended Ohio State University. She was a member of Farmersville United Methodist Church. She was a member of Ohio & National Simmental Assoc. She was the 1991 Licking County Beef Princess and 1997 Hartford Fair Queen. She enjoyed showing cattle and judging and also watching her three little boys play ball. She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Dr. John Ulrich, whom she married Sept. 23, 2000 and 3 sons, Logan, Grant and Chandler, all at home, her parents, James and Rita Dickson, a brother, Dan (Diane) Dickson, sister, Sherry (Nathan ) Claggett, and brother, Mike (LeighAnne) Dickson all of St. Louisville, OH., many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Mark and Carolyn Ulrich of West Alexandria. John and Melissa owned and operated the Twin Valley Animal Hospital in West Alexandria for the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Ruth Dickson and maternal grandparents, Otis and Rose Ogle. Melissa's family would like to especially thank Dr. Calvo of Kettering Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Sat. July 30, 2011 at Farmersville United Methodist Church with Rev. Patty Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Twin Valley Cemetery, Enterprise Rd., West Alexandria, OH. Friends may call at the church in Farmersville on Friday from 4-8PM. and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
