Melvin E. Cook

Melvin E. Cook, age 66, of Eldorado, OH passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Brooksville Regional Hospital, Brooksville, FL. He was born June 22, 1945 in Kosciusko County, IN to the late Edward E. and Francis M. (Geiser) Cook. He was a member of the Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Eldorado, OH and was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Ella Cook of Eldorado, OH; daughters Michaela (Arlen) Bower of Wellman, IA, Dorinda (Jesse) Bowman of Rocky Mountain, VA and Jenny (Randy) Moore of Silver Lake, IN; 16 grandchildren; sisters Martha (Chuck) Burbank and Marilyn (Carl) Shankster both of Silver Lake, IN; brothers Alvin (Connie) Cook of Silver Lake, IN, Jeff (Pam) Cook of Claypool, IN and Eldon (Becky) Cook of North Manchester, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 5 – 8 pm and again on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 1 – 5 pm and 6 – 8 pm, all at the Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, three miles south of Eldorado, OH on State Route 726. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to assist with final burial expenses.
