Merle A. Johnson, age 64 of Eaton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was born April 15, 1958 in Richmond, Indiana, son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Shelton) Johnson. 

 

Merle was a loving husband, father, grumpy, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a hardworking man that enjoyed bringing laughter to those around him. He enjoyed camping, golfing, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Merle will be greatly missed by those who knew him. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Johnson; sister, Debbie Eaton; and father-in-law, Norman Neff.

 

Merle is survived by his wife, Connie Johnson; son, Casey Johnson; daughter, Lindley (Rusty) Smith; grandchildren, Makenzi Johnson, Adisyn Johnson, Aubri Johnson, Jordan Waller, and Maizie Smith; sister, Teresa Kuck; mother-in-law, Marlene Neff; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12p-1p at Gard Funeral Home and Cremation Services (67 West Dayton Street, West Alexandria, Ohio 45381). A memorial service will begin at 1pm at the Funeral Home.
