Mildred V. Gray, age 86, of Eaton, OH went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born March 15, 1935 in London, KY to the late Benjamin Harrison and Lillie M. (Hensley) Cheek. She was a homemaker, wife and mother, who loved to read and sew. She was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church, Eaton OH where she served faithfully for 60 years in several capacities such as clerk, Sunday School teacher, and nursery coordinator. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Linville Gray of Eaton, OH; daughters Denise (David) Smith of Sharonville, OH, Nancy (Mike) Lowery of Louisville, KY, and Barbara Gray of Eaton, OH. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Phillip (Laura) Lowery of Louisville, KY; Adam (Kristina) Smith of Hickory, NC; Mindy (Nick) Jones of Mt. Washington, KY, and Aaron (Loren) Smith of Milton, TN. In addition to grandchildren she was blessed by four great granddaughters: Kassidy and Emma Smith, Gracelyn Jones, and Jordan Lowery. She is also survived by sister-in-law Fredna Cheek of Paris, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son Randall L. Gray; her sisters: Ethel Wheelock, Louanna Davidson, Edna Smith, Grace Sawyer, and Martha Venable. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Samuel, Bill, Jim, Charlie, Johnny, Henry, and Theo Cheek. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the London Funeral Home, 879 S. Main Street, London, KY with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Rough Creek Cemetery, Rose Jones Lane in London, KY.
