Mildred J. Hand

Mildred J. Hand, age 87, of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 26, 1929 in Hilliard, OH to the late Ernest and Lena (Hunt) Hazlett. Mildred retired from Anchor-Hocking, Lancaster, OH; was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lancaster and Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton; and attended the Eaton First Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Elmer Hand, who passed away in 1995; and sister Virginia Ruth Snouffer. She is survived by her daughter Georgia (Steve) Wireman of Eaton, OH; grandson Robert Wireman of Eaton, OH; granddaughters Kim Ritter of Eaton, OH and Terrie (Ryan) Jason of Virginia Beach, VA; great grandchildren: Billy Ritter, Brandon Wireman, Dakota Wireman and Kinsley Jason; great great grandson Brody Ritter; brother Melvin (Clara) Hazlett of Columbus, OH; sister Jean Snouffer of Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street Eaton. Visitation will also be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon at the Sheridan Funeral Home, 222 South Columbus Street, Lancaster, OH. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
