Norma B. Woods

Norma B. Woods, age 77, of Eaton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 on her wedding anniversary at her residence. She was born February 4, 1944 in Yancy, Kentucky to the late Estil Cleo & Lily (Crawford) Boyd. She was the owner of Preble County Eyecare for 20 years. She was a former member of the Memorial Baptist Church for over 20 years, where she prepared meals and taught Sunday school. She was an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden, Ohio. Norma was devoted to her family and often opened her home to friends and family in need. She also enjoyed her hobbies of knitting, crocheting and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Dyer; and brothers Walter Boyd, Estil Boyd, Kenneth Boyd, Harold Boyd. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John H. Woods; children: John Roy (Lisa) Woods, Joel B. (Julanne) Woods, Jennifer (Michael) Rothwell, and Stephen (Jena) Woods; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn (Floyd) Wooliscroft; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am at the First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty Street, Camden, OH with Pastor Greg Jackson and Dr. Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.
