Opal M. Pence

Opal M. Pence, age 95, of Eaton, OH passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center, Eaton, OH. She was born October 27, 1916 in Breathitt County, KY to the late Barney and Myrtle (Cobb) Back. Opal was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Eaton, OH. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Pence, who passed away May 26, 1989; son David Pence who passed away March 29, 2009; 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her daughters Donna L. (husband Melvin) Pease of Whitmore Lake, MI and Robin Pence of Gulfport, FL; daughter-in-law Janet Pence of Eaton, OH; grandchildren Terri Brown of West Alexandria, OH, Debra Kisling of Eaton, OH, Scott Pence of Eaton, OH, Ryan Pease of Hamburg, MI and Justin Pease of Auborndale, FL; and 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Warren Reichert officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Greenbriar Activity Fund, 501 West Lexington Road, Eaton, OH 45320.
