Patricia R. Newman

Patricia R. Newman, 83, formerly of Eaton, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 24th at Dayspring of Miami Valley/Fairborn. Born on February 14th, 1941 in Georgetown, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Balof) Dungan. Pat was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson High School in New Paris, Ohio, and remained close to her classmates all throughout her life. She later attended radiology technician school, was a past president of the Indiana chapter of the American Association of Medical Assistants and eventually worked as a regional coordinator for HCR ManorCare until her retirement. A former member of New Hope United Methodist Church and Oak Park Church of God, she was also a past member of the Richmond Women’s Aglow and Woman’s Town Club of Springfield. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years James R. Newman; brother Robert A. Dungan; sons Paul F. Newman and Daniel R. Newman; granddaughter Krista Tibbs; and niece Alycia Dudley. Survived by children Edward (Alicia) Newman of Troy, OH, Teresa (Greg) Rose of Springfield, OH, Rita Beard of Trinity, TX, Tina Newman of Middletown, OH; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Private funeral services were held Monday, July 29th, with interment at Twin Creek Cemetery, West Manchester, OH. The family would like to thank the staff of Dayspring and Affinity Hospice for their care.
