Penny L. Ulrich

Penny L. Ulrich, age 81, of Eaton, OH passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center.  She was born January 26, 1943 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert and Weltha Norris.  She was a member of the Rainbow Assembly of Eaton, OH; was a 1961 graduate of Eaton High School where she was a Varsity Cheerleader, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 1965, and her Masters Degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Miami University; she dedicated 26 years as the School Nurse at Eaton Community Schools; was a member of Eaton First Presbyterian Church; was an avid mushroom hunter and extremely active on the family farm, was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes; enjoyed cooking and loved playing cards with friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Orville “C.O.” Ulrich; and granddaughter Chelsea Hanson.  She is survived by her daughter Kelly McCarty; son Tim (Jenny) McCarty; son Douglas (Karen) Ulrich; daughter Gail Jean Ulrich; grandchildren: Wyatt, Alex, Olivia, Mica, Devon, Makole, David Douglas, Monica and Daniel; 11 great grandchildren; sister Sherry (Jay) Meyers; beloved uncle Wayne (Wilma) Fenner; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 4:00 pm until time of memorial service at 6:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W.
