Phyllis Jean DeHart

Phyllis Jean DeHart, age 95, of Eaton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024.  She was born on April 24, 1928 in Eaton to the late Alva and Blanche Horine.  Jean graduated from Eaton High School in 1946, where she was active in GAA and many sports.  Jean retired from Westvaco in 1977. She was also active in Eastern Star.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold DeHart; daughter Jeanette Cunnagin; and six brothers and five sisters.  Jean is survived by her sister Jan Schultz; daughter Anna (John) Cicur; sons Steven (Julia) DeHart and Tim (Teri) DeHart; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Saturday; March 9, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, Ohio.  Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Dayton in honor of Phyllis Jean DeHart.  Online condolences and remembrances may be sent by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com .
