Rande L. "Pop" Martin

Rande L. “Pop” Martin, age 73, of Richmond, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford, IN. He was born December 23, 1950 in Portsmouth, OH. Rande was a 1969 graduate of Fairmont East High School in Kettering; and earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from the General Motors Institute in Flint, MI. He was an avid fisherman and loved going on his annual fishing trips with the “fisher dudes” at Grand Lake St. Mary's; he enjoyed golfing; was a huge Ohio State University fan; loved dark chocolate; enjoyed grilling for his family; and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Rande was known for his ornery sense of humor and would want to remind everyone “YBHAHII”. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Martin and Lois Gilbert Case; son Rick Martin; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Thomas “Max” and Helen “Jo” Wyer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy Martin of Richmond, IN; daughters Shayna Martin and Kacey (Justin) Loveless both of Bloomington, IN; daughter-in-law Annie Martin of Eaton, OH; grandchildren Max Martin, Kerigann Martin and Wyatt Loveless; sisters Vicki Pollitt of Daytona Beach, FL and Denise Pogue of The Villages, FL; brother John (Do) Martin Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews; and numerous Godchildren, bonus children and bonus grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.
