Raymond Joseph Hansen, age 90 of Camden, OH, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in Miamisburg, OH. He was born April 3, 1932 in East Pittsburgh, PA to the late Samuel Hansen and Dorothy (Lukinich) Hansen. Ray graduated from East Pittsburgh High School in 1949, and Indiana Technical College in 1959 earning a BS in Electronic engineering. Ray served in the US Navy from November 12, 1952 until November 6, 1956. After his time with the military, Ray worked many years with NCR, had his own construction/remodeling business, and retired from the Department of Energy in 1994 as Deputy Manager of the Fernald cleanup site in southwestern Ohio. Ray enjoyed golfing and living on a farm. Most of all he loved his Catholic faith, his family and his friends. Ray was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Eaton, and St. Mary Catholic Church in Camden. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3698. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Irene Banyai; and Virginia Mlinarich; and grandson Marshall Hansen. He is survived by his wife Kay (Bell) Hansen, children; John Hansen, Joe (Kathy) Hansen, Bob (Ann) Hansen, David (Nikki) Hansen, Bill (Terie) Hansen, Paul (Sue) Hansen, Jim (Kerry) Hansen and Anne Marie (Jim) Ducceschi; brother Sam (Kathleen) Hansen; brother-in-law Ken (Patty) Bell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends all of whom he loved dearly. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Father David Doseck, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420, or Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church or St. Mary Catholic Church (mailing address is the same for both churches).
