Raymond “Sonny” Spence, age 77, of Eaton, OH passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1941 in Eaton, OH to the late Clifford and Dorothy (Rike) Spence. He was a sheriff’s Deputy for over 25 years and was one of the original founders and paramedics of the Eaton Emergency Squad. He was a F.A.M. for a number of years. He retired from Chrysler after 42 years. Raymond was an avid fisherman, had a love of boats, guns, and cars, especially Nascar. He was a proud republican and avid Trump supporter. He enjoyed spending his time watching Fox News. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Sandra (Neiswonger) Spence; sons Rick (Tammy) Spence, Martin (Doris) Spence, William (Stacy) Spence, and James (Mandi) Spence; 20 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. With Rev. Dr. Beth Vieira, of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home.
