Reginald A. “Butch” Stringer, Jr., age 76, of Arcanum, OH passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. He was born February 25, 1947 in Dayton, OH to the late Reginald Alvin and Dorothy Irene Stringer, Sr. Butch was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, archery and fishing that included competing in bass tournaments, archery competitions and trapshoot competitions. He was an auto mechanic for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife Nancy Stringer; brother Gerald Stringer; and sister Nancy Brinegar. He is survived by his daughters Angelica (Duane) Collins of Vandalia and Dorothy Stringer of West Alexandria; grandchildren Tiffany Collins, Ashley (Brandon) Wildermuth, Casondra Collins, Paige (Aaron Bruggeman) Pelarske, Claryssa Collins, Mark Kresal and Scott Koogler, Jr.; and numerous great grandchildren; sister Gayle Marsh; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Janice Rex. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Bratt Tasties, 11 East Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH 45381.
