Richard William Cruze

Richard William Cruze, age 68, of Velpen, IN passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 7, 1944 in West Manchester, OH to the late Roy and Marcella Cruze. Rick was an avid bowler, loved fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Denny, Bob and David; and sisters Dianna, Joan, Shirley and Patty. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Linda K. Cruze of Velpen, IN; daughters Tammy Lynn (Gary) Porter of Troy, IN and Wendy Jean Cruze of Velpen, IN; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters Janet (John) Stover of Eaton, OH and Peggy Anthony of Greenville, OH; brothers Jim (Jeanette) Cruze of Camden, OH and Duane (Beverly) Cruze of Eaton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Old Teegarden Cemetery in Darke County, OH. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
