Richard "Dick" D. Larson

Richard “Dick” D. Larson, age 84, of Somerville, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.  He was born January 16, 1938 in West Elkton to the late Ellsworth and Mabel Larson.  He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge #30 in Gratis; and enjoyed bluegrass music.  He retired from Armco Steel in Middletown after 40 years of employment.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn Larson; and daughter Lisa Larson; and brother Wimp Larson.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Larson; stepdaughter Tracy (Dale) Buckner; son Rick (Sue) Larson; daughters Laurie and Lori Larson; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sister Pat Smith; and special dog Pork Chop.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Gard Funeral Home (formerly Lindloff-Zimmerman), 113 Ada Doty Street, Gratis, OH with Pastor Jim Proffitt officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Odd Fellows Lodge #30, Gratis, OH.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to www.gardfuneralhome.com
