Robert M. "Bob" Chellis

Robert (Bob) M. Chellis, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Dec. 30, 2012 at his home in Plant City, Florida. He was born on July 17, 1925 in West Manchester, to the late Pride and Iris (Smith) Chellis. Bob was a life long farmer of Preble and Darke County. He was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy ( Poe) and second wife Jean (Gardener). He is survived by his five children, Mike Chellis of West Manchester, Vickie Vince of Acton, Ontario, Canada; Cheryl Johnson of Dayton, Brenda Gail Hembree of New Paris, and Andy Chellis of Free Port, Fla.; two sisters, Betty Pequignot of Plant City, Fla. and Joan Harman of Bartow, Fla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Twin Creek Chapel Cemetery, Yohe Road, West Manchester, OH. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow services at the American Legion in West Manchester.
