Robert Carl Menke

Robert Carl Menke, age 69, of West Alexandria, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Bethesda North Hospital. Born on May 14, 1952, in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Paul & Grace (Gilbert) Menke. Bob was a 1970 graduate of Twin Valley South High School. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Enterprise, OH and a current member of Fairhaven Community Church. He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation in Preble County and enjoyed working on the family farm. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth (Kimball) Menke, of 41 years, son Mark (Shari) Menke, daughter Lauren Menke, son Matt Menke (Crystal); four grandchildren, Luke, Emma, Lydia & Caleb; two sisters, Jayne (Keith) Curtin, Diane (David) Thompson; nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Fairhaven Community Church, 6585 Israel Somers Rd, Camden, OH 45311 with Rev. Dr. Rich Studebaker officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Valley Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH. Gard Funeral Home (formerly Lindloff-Zimmerman), West Alexandria is assisting with arrangements.
