Robert H. Stubbs

Robert H. Stubbs, age 88, of West Elkton, OH, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. He was born November 7, 1924 in Somerville, OH to the late Hubert and Gladys (Hicks) Stubbs. Bob was a U.S Navy Veteran, who served during WWII; he was a life member of the American Legion and the V.FW. both of Middletown; was a member of the Masonic Lodge #159 of Camden, OH; was a member of the West Elkton United Methodist Church; and he retired after 42 years of employment from Armco Steel (A.K. Steel) in Middletown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dorthea L. Bunting. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary L. Stubbs; son Glenn (Karen Powers) Stubbs of Zoar, OH; grandchildren Jeremy (Sara) Stubbs of Hamilton, OH and Carrie (Sean) Vetrovsky of Savannah, GA; 4 great grandchildren; and niece Beth (Steve) Werts of Eaton, OH. Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the West Elkton Cemetery, West Elkton, OH.
