Robert E. "Ed" Uhl II

Robert “Ed” Uhl II, age 75, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home. Ed was born on May 22, 1949 to the late Robert Edward (Florence K.) Uhl. Ed was a Preble County farmer for 53 years and enjoyed baling hay with his buddies. He raised cows, goats, and horses and loved all animals. He was a very witty and funny man, and he enjoyed collecting unique rocks. He was an introvert with a small, tight-knit group of friends that he chose carefully. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by brother Billy Joe Uhl. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rebecca L. Uhl; daughter Lori (Bobby Thompson) Uhl of West Alexandria, OH; grandchildren Riley and Morgan; sisters Kay (Earl) Patton of West Alexandria, OH, Cinda Lou (Bob) Shindeldecker of Eaton, OH, and Sue Uhl; best friend George Ulrich of West Alexandria, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Twin Valley Cemetery. Gard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, West Alexandria, OH is assisting with arrangements.
