Rodney B. Wright

Rodney B. Wright, age 79, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Greenbriar of Eaton. He was born Feb 20, 1944, in Wilmington, OH to the late Charles and Mildred (Brackney) Wright. Rodney was a graduate of Eaton High School and NCR computer technology schools.  At NCR he was instrumental in developing cutting edge technologies like the LAN and other computer inventions that we all use today.  Most importantly he was a faithful servant of Christ who he loved to praise. He retired from NCR before enjoying many business endeavors in GA and SC; and enjoyed music, singing, and automobiles.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Rae Anna Wright Guckian. He is survived by his wife Linda Taylor Wright of South Carolina; son Scott (Stacey)Wright of Noblesville, IN; daughter Beth (Brian) Pool of Eaton, OH; son Brian (Jackie) Wright of Eaton, OH; son Andy (Melissa) Wright of Portage, MI; step-son Eric (Jessica) Taylor and step-daughter Mellony (Mike) Jayroe of South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Lilian (Eddie)  Robinette of West Carrollton, OH; sister Peggy (Randy) Elliot of Chardon, OH and several nieces and nephews.  Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.  Calling at 2:00 PM followed by service at 3:00 PM at Eaton First Presbyterian Church, 123 W. Decatur Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Annie Melick officiating.
