Roland D. Bowman

Roland D. Bowman, age 76, of West Alexandria, OH passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his residence.   He was born December 2, 1943 in Greenville, OH to the late Kenneth and Betty Bowman.  He worked at Dayton Tire and Rubber for 13 years and later retired in 2007 from the Preble County Landfill as an equipment operator after 24 years of employment.  Roland was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son Steven G. Bowman in 2005; and grandson Elijah K. Morris.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlyce Bowman of West Alexandria; daughter Rhonda (Derrick) Nelson of West Alexandria; daughter-in-law Libby Bowman, Eaton; grandchildren: Tisha (Keith) Burkett, Aleasha (Derek) Morris, Steven (Sarah) Bowman; great grandchildren: Kailee, Austin, Adelyn, Emersyn, Steven, Jack, and Maggie Jo; brother Keith (Connie) Bowman: sister Donna Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be at Twin Valley Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH.  Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria is assisting with arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.lindloffzimmerman.com.
