Rose Ann Coblentz

Rose Ann Coblentz, age 95, of New Paris, OH passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her residence.  She was born July 27, 1928 in Richmond, IN to the late Lloyd and Santina Reid.  She was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School; enjoyed traveling, growing flowers and refinishing furniture; and most of all spending time with family.  Rose Ann married her childhood sweetheart Donald Coblentz in 1948.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Coblentz; brother George Reid; and two half-brothers.  She is survived by her children: LeeAnne (John Jr.) Shaffer, Ted Coblentz and Jo Ellen (Kurt) Swihart; grandchildren: Kim (Troy) Norvell, Kristie (Mark) Smith, Jill Lakes (Brett Stokes), Jason (Tina) Shaffer, Jean (Mike) Duggan, Renee (Troy) Ashcraft, Kari (Derek) Lee, Kendra (Kurt) Thompson and Kortney (Brian) Nester; 17 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and sister Jackie Aragon; sister-in-law Leanna Reid; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street in Eaton, OH with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating.  Burial will follow at Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the New Paris Park, ℅ Village of New Paris, 301 West Cherry Street, New Paris, OH 45347.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
