Roy V. Kiracofe

Roy V. Kiracofe, age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. He was born April 26, 1926 in Camden, OH to the late Lloyd and Mary Kiracofe. He was a 50 year member of the Eaton Grange #2250; was a member of the First Brethren Church, Gratis, OH; was an original member of the Preble County Pork Festival Board, where he served for 25 years; and was a longtime Preble County farmer and retired truck driver for Beoddy Oil Company, Eaton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy J. (Aukerman) Kiracofe, who passed away December 9, 2005; and brothers Darrell, Don and Jim Kiracofe. He is survived by his daughters Janet Philpot of Lewisburg, OH and Rita (Don) Allen of Middletown, OH; grandchildren Michelle Sayne of Lewisburg, OH and Michael (Amanda) Allen of Somerville, OH; brother Gene Kiracofe of Camden, OH; sister Janel Kiracofe of Camden, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Judy Mayrer of Lewisburg, OH. Roy is also survived by four grand puppies, Beau, Buddy, “Special” Ed and Sadie Grace, who visited him regularly at Heartland Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Girton Schimdt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Elbert Sorrell officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Diabetes Association of Dayton.
