Roy Lee Newman

Roy Lee Newman, age 74, of Morning Sun, OH passed away on, Friday, June 20, 2014 at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. He was born September 26, 1939 in Lee County, VA to the late Ralph Newman and Reba Newman-Davis. Roy was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by brother Herbert Newman; and sister Helen Hicks, whom died the following day after Roy in Peoria, AZ. He is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Roxie (Allen) Newman of Morning Sun, OH; son Deron (Brenda) Newman; grandchildren Chase and Mackenzie Newman all of Eaton, OH; sisters Loretta (Vadas) Baker of Glendale, AZ, and Doris (Donnie) Null of Morning Sun, OH; brother-in-law Merriel (the late Candy) Brusher of Morning Sun, OH; and sister-in-law Jane (the late Don) Keehner of Camden, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His wishes were to be cremated. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the H.I.T. Foundation, 1751 North Barron Street, Eaton, OH, 45320. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
