Roy Sollenberger

SOLLENBERGER, Roy Jacob, age 84 of West Alexandria, OH. died Thurs. June 12, 2014 in Brookville.  He was born in Dayton on Jan. 3, 1930 to Roy and Emma (Eby) Sollenberger.  He was a 1947 graduate of Dixie High School.   Roy was a farmer all of his life.  He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, West Alexandria, OH., 50 year member of F.A.& M. Lodge #88, and also Antioch Shriner.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Sollenberger, son, Jerry (Karen) Sollenberger, West Alexandria,OH., daughter, Diane (Ted) Lester, Rockvale, TN., 5 grandchildren, Rachel (Ryan) Tait,  Jason (Lani) Sollenberger, Laura (Michael) Hernandez, Kelly (Travis) Jones, Ashley Sollenberger,  4 great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Tyler, Tait, Paisley and Levi Sollenberger, a brother Jim (Carol) Sollenberger, New Lebanon, OH. numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Ryan Jacob Friend and sister, Oma Sollenberger.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 16, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Nunnally officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.  Friends may call at the church on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 5-8PM for visitation and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.  Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Shriners Hospital for Children or Muscular Dystrophy Assc.  For condolences: www.lindloffzimmerman.com
