Ruby Cross Falkner

Ruby Cross Falkner, age 87, of Eaton, OH went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. She was born August 6, 1924 in Scott County Virginia to the late Mamie and Charlie Cross. She retired from Dayton Flexible after 20 years of service. She loved to quilt, read, and watch Dayton Flyers Basketball. She loved when each summer arrived so she could attend the Cross Family reunions. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Scott Falkner, who passed away February 28, 1970; sons Jack Falkner and Rick Falkner; brothers Waldemar, Kenneth, Cecil and Jimmie Cross; and great grandchild Savannah Heiser. She is survived by her son Ronnie “Bud” (Bette) Falkner of Arcanum, OH; daughter Pamela K. (Mike) Weadick of Eaton, OH; sister Fredna Cheek of Eaton, OH; sister-in-laws Judy Cross and Fran Cross; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 4 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Preble County Food Bank.
