Samuel Douglas McLain

Samuel Douglas McLain, age 78, of Eaton, OH and formerly of Gratis, OH, passed away on Monday, June 08, 2015 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. Sam was a U.S. National Guard Veteran; was a member of the American Legion Post #322, West Alexandria, OH; he retired from Parker-Hannifin Corporation with over 20 years of employment; and he dearly cherished his family farm in Gratis. He was preceded in death by his parents Huber and Dorothy McLain; and sister Eleanor G. Hathaway. He is survived by his wife Sandra L. McLain of Eaton, OH; sister Joy (Jim) Schul of Gratis, OH; step children Kim Johnson and Kent Campbell; step grandchild Abbie (Mike) Steele; step great grandchild Kyleigh; nieces and nephews: Doug, Dan, Diane, Jim, Sandy and Teresa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.
