Sandra “Sandy” Eversole Donovan, age 77, of Westerville, OH passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mount Carmel St. Anne’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. She was born on August 13, 1943 in New Albany, IN to the late Elmer and Opal Eversole.
Sandy was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was an accomplished educational leader serving students, families, and communities as a University Instructor, Public School Teacher, Principal, and Director of Education for 40 years. In addition, Sandy was known for her fun-loving personality, wonderful sense of humor, generosity, and kindness. She was a talented seamstress and loved to knit and read. She accepted others unconditionally. Her exuberance for life and her dedication to her family and friends is her legacy.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her niece Sarah Ogrosky Stellings.She is survived by her husband of 57 years James “Jim” Donovan; daughter Kathryn “Katy” (Jim) Myers; son James “Jay” (Missy) Donovan; grandchildren: Joli Myers, Kassie Myers, Jake Donovan and Mattie Donovan; siblings: Meridythe (Wally) McLean, Deborah (George) Stellings, and Jesse (Susan) Eversole; Nieces and Nephews: DeeAnna (Mark) Chickerella, Mary Lee Power, Allison (Don) Wagner, Anne (Nitin) Mall, Elynor (Jeff) Moxley, Sarah (Mike) Brennan, Alex Eversole, and Lee Eversole; and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date when it is appropriate for family/friends to gather.
