Sarah L. Masters

Sarah L. Masters, age 92, of Eaton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born June 28, 1923 in Preble County to the late David and Grace (House) Rike. She was a member of the First Brethren Church, West Alexandria. Sarah retired after 29 years of employment from the Paul Manufacturing Company in Lewisburg. She enjoyed spending the winters in Florida following her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband Donald Waymire; second husband James Masters; son Richard Waymire; granddaughters Dawn Jimenez and Cheryl Waymire; brothers James, Fred, Richard, Don and Ted Rike; and sister Frances Sizemore. She is survived by her sons Donald (Carolyn) Waymire, Jr. of Eaton, Thomas (Sue) Waymire of Eaton and Tim (Brenda) Waymire of West Alexandria; daughter Connie (Mel) Johnson of Middletown, OH; daughter-in-law Linda Waymire of Eaton; stepson Pat (Debbie) Masters of Vandalia; stepdaughter Kay Laurens of Middletown; special friend Avis Hundley of Eaton; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren; brother Charles (Edith) Rike of Lewisburg; sisters Ada Wysong of Florida and Susana Box of Eaton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to the West Manchester United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 147, West Manchester, OH 45382.
