Sarah Alice Spitler

SPITLER, Sarah A., age 104 of Eaton, OH. died Wed. Dec. 27, 2017 at her residence.  She was born in Preble County, OH. on Aug. 27, 1913 to Willard and Ruth (Trunck) Andrews.  Sarah was a retired 3rd grade school teacher and taught 26 years in the Dayton area.  She was a member of Delta Theta Tau, Alpha Garden Club, Eaton, OH. Berema Club, Gratis, OH.  A.A.U.W. and 50 year member of the College Women’s Club,  Dayton, OH.  She is survived by a daughter, Ruth (Richard) McCann, Liville, GA., 2 grandchildren, Jennifer (William) Whipple, Duluth, GA., Jon Pieratt, Pensacola, FL., great grandchildren, Deanna McReynolds, Jay McReynolds, Trip Whipple and Garius Whipple.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chester Spitler, 2000, sisters, Martha Jarrard, Virginia Pottenger, Elizabeth Andrews and brother, Clayton Andrews.  A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Jan. 27, 2018 at  Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, OH.  Visitation will be from noon to 1:00PM..
